Jamieson + Juliette, A PEI Wedding

For the past half-dozen years or so, my daughter, Lily, has been both inspired, energized, and fallen in love with dance. Irish step dance, to be specific. A massive part of her love has been the inspiration and guidance provided by her energetic and incredibly talented teacher, Juliette Roberts…owner of one of Prince Edward Island’s biggest dance studios, Robert’s Academy of Dance (RAD!)

I’ve photographed various dance events for Juliette over the years and was beyond honoured when she asked me if I would capture the story of her big day - her union to the dapper, funny, and kind Jamieson Paziuk. Um, hell yes.

Spring weddings are always a little bit of a scary prospect for photographers, especially when the day called for terrible weather which lead to a request from the couple to pretty much stick indoors for the entirety of the day’s shooting (we wedding photographers thrive in our outdoor conditions). All you can do is go for it, make the most of it, and us your creativity and eye to try to bring a day to life!

Well, there was no need to bring “anything to life” this day! Juliette and Jamieson - along with their friends and family - are some of the highest-energy folks I’ve ever met, and the smiles, laughter, and energy were contagious throughout the entirety of the day.

A beautiful day, from start to finish, with some of the best people I know here on Prince Edward Island.

Juliette and Jamieson - a huge congratulations to you both!

PS - a massive thanks to island photographer Riki Sulis for capturing some of the wedding detail shots, and to Tina Lesyk of Pineapple Eventworks for planning one wonderful wedding.
